Entrants will be competing for the title of  Salem Apple Butter Preteen. Competition will include three phases: Opening Number, Fun Fashion, Evening Gown.Over $150 in prizes will be awarded during the pageant--$50 cash, trophy, sash and tiara for the winner; participation trophies for each contestant.

Contestants will be judged in the categories of: evening gown, fun fashion, personality, confidence, speaking skills and overall poise

​

Contestant may also participate in a voluntary, free Preteen Photogenic Contest. Participation in the Photogenic Contest is entirely voluntary, and there is no cost to enter. If interested, please submit a 5"x7" or 8"x10" quality photograph. A trophy will be awarded. This competition is not part of the pageant's main judging.

Contestants must be 10-12 years of age to enter. A non-refundable registration fee of $75.00 is required. Contestants may obtain a sponsor but only for the price of the pageant registration fee ($75.00). Sponsor's check must be made payable to the Salem Apple Butter Festival.

 

Pageant officials will conduct a rehearsal for contestants on Tuesday, October 1 at 5 p.m. at the  Depot Stage.  CONTESTANTS MUST BE PRESENT AT THE REHEARSAL TO BE IN THE PAGEANT.
